Integrate candles into your decor by placing them in wooden candle holders or arranging them alongside bundles of dried herbs and wildflowers for a touch of whimsy. Enhance the cozy atmosphere by bringing in elements such as woven baskets, handwoven rugs, and exposed beams, all of which add to the rustic charm of your farmhouse decor. By seamlessly blending natural elements with candlelight, you can create a tranquil retreat that feels like a breath of fresh air.
The soft flicker of candlelight has a magical way of transforming any space into a cozy retreat. In your farmhouse decor, opt for pillar candles in neutral hues like ivory or taupe to complement the earthy tones of your surroundings. Scatter them throughout your barn house decor, placing them on mantels, shelves, and windowsills to create a warm and inviting ambiance that invites relaxation and conversation. Consider incorporating lanterns and hurricane candle holders for added depth and drama, casting enchanting shadows that dance across the walls and ceilings. Whether you're hosting a dinner party or enjoying a quiet evening alone, the gentle glow of candlelight will infuse your space with warmth and serenity.
Texture plays a crucial role in farmhouse decor, adding depth and visual interest to your space. Incorporate candle accessories like woven wicker baskets, plush throws, and knitted pillow covers to enhance the cozy appeal of your rustic decor. Arrange candles of varying heights and sizes within these textural elements to create a dynamic focal point that draws the eye and invites touch. Experiment with different textures such as rough-hewn wood, weathered metal, and soft fabrics to create a layered look that feels inviting and lived-in. By combining candlelight with tactile elements, you can elevate the sensory experience of your farmhouse decor and create a space that feels truly welcoming.
In farmhouse decor, lighting is key to creating a welcoming atmosphere that feels both intimate and inviting. In addition to candles, layer your lighting with soft, diffused overhead fixtures and vintage-inspired sconces to add depth and warmth to your space. Mix and match different light sources to create a cozy ambiance that adapts to the changing moods of your home throughout the day. Consider installing dimmer switches or using candles with adjustable brightness to create the perfect ambiance for any occasion. By layering lighting sources, you can enhance the depth and dimension of your farmhouse decor, creating a space that feels cozy and inviting no matter the time of day.
Your farmhouse decor should reflect your unique personality and style, creating a sanctuary that feels like a true reflection of who you are. Incorporate personal touches like family heirlooms, handmade ceramics, and cherished mementos into your barn house decor to infuse your space with warmth and character. Arrange candles in eclectic groupings that tell a story and invite guests to linger and make memories in your candlelit haven. Consider creating a cozy reading nook with a comfortable armchair, soft throw blanket, and a collection of your favorite books, illuminated by the soft glow of candlelight. By infusing your farmhouse decor with personal touches and meaningful details, you can create a space that feels truly special and uniquely yours.
While candlelit coziness is especially delightful during the colder months, there are ways to maintain this warm ambiance throughout the year in your farmhouse decor. During the warmer seasons, opt for lighter scents and hues in your candles, such as fresh linen or citrus, to evoke a sense of freshness and vitality. Earthy hues, spanning warm browns, muted greens, and soft blues, evoke a sense of nature and simplicity. The timeless charm of farmhouse decor is further amplified by incorporating whitewashed finishes on furniture and walls, creating an atmosphere that is simultaneously light, airy, and endlessly inviting.
When selecting colors for your rustic farmhouse haven, aim for a cohesive and understated look. Bold and vibrant colors have no place here; instead, opt for muted tones that seamlessly complement the natural materials within your space. Embrace the inherent imperfections of aged wood and distressed finishes, allowing the patina to tell a rich and evolving story of time and use.
The beauty of farmhouse decor extends beyond aesthetics; it lies in the unwavering commitment to practicality and functionality. Consider incorporating furniture that seamlessly marries form and function, such as storage ottomans or farmhouse-style coffee tables with built-in shelving. Open shelving in the kitchen not only facilitates easy access to essentials but also offers a platform for showcasing your favorite dinnerware and utensils.
To enhance the functionality of your living space, opt for decor items that serve a dual purpose. Vintage crates can double as storage solutions, while mason jars find new life as organizers for kitchen utensils or charming vessels for displaying fresh flowers. This fusion of form and function is a hallmark of farmhouse decor, creating a homey and efficient living space that effortlessly combines practicality with timeless charm.

Begin your farmhouse decor journey by embracing the rustic elegance that defines this style. The key is to incorporate elements that celebrate simplicity and a connection to nature. Consider wooden furniture with distressed finishes, reclaimed materials, and a neutral color palette that mirrors the earthy tones of the countryside. This sets the stage for a cozy farmhouse ambiance where candles become the focal point, radiating a soft, inviting glow. Utilize lanterns made of weathered metal or wood to add a touch of vintage charm, complementing the farmhouse aesthetic seamlessly.
As you weave in these elements, the farmhouse decor transforms your living space into a sanctuary of rustic beauty. The blend of distressed wood, neutral tones, and vintage-inspired accents creates a visual symphony that resonates with the heart of farmhouse living. This aesthetic lays the foundation for the subsequent ideas, each building upon the notion of candlelit comfort within a rustic embrace.
No farmhouse decor is complete without strategically placed candles that serve as centerpieces. Choose candles of varying heights and widths to create visual interest. Group them on dining tables, coffee tables, or mantels for an instant cozy vibe. Incorporate candle holders made from materials like wrought iron or distressed wood, echoing the farmhouse theme. This not only adds warmth but also becomes a conversation starter as guests admire the flickering flames against the rustic backdrop.
The beauty of this approach lies not just in the aesthetic appeal but also in the symbolism. Candles, as centerpieces, become more than just sources of light; they symbolize the hearth, the heart of the home. As they flicker and dance, they infuse the atmosphere with a sense of comfort and nostalgia, tying together the elements of farmhouse decor.
For a unique farmhouse decor touch, consider installing candlelit wall sconces. These fixtures not only serve as practical lighting solutions but also add a touch of old-world charm to your space. Opt for sconces with wrought iron detailing or distressed finishes to stay true to the farmhouse aesthetic. Place them strategically in hallways, living rooms, or bedrooms to create pockets of soft, ambient light. The juxtaposition of flickering candles against a textured, farmhouse-style wall can be both soothing and visually stunning, making your home a haven of candlelit comfort.
The introduction of candlelit wall sconces takes the farmhouse decor to new heights. It transforms the ambiance, creating a play of shadows and warm glows that enhance the overall atmosphere. As these sconces become integral to your decor, they paint an intimate narrative of a home enveloped in the timeless embrace of farmhouse living.
Incorporate candles into the nooks and crannies of your farmhouse decor to create intimate and cozy spaces. Utilize mason jars, vintage tins, or wooden crates as candle holders to enhance the rustic appeal. Scatter these accessories on bookshelves, window sills, or even in the bathroom for a touch of farmhouse charm. The beauty of candlelit accessories lies in their ability to turn any corner into a snug retreat. As you weave candles into your decor, you're not just adding light; you're infusing every corner of your home with the warmth and coziness that defines farmhouse living.
The charm of cozy nooks lies in their ability to offer intimate respites within the broader context of your home. They become retreats within a retreat, spaces where the flickering candlelight transforms ordinary corners into magical sanctuaries. Each candlelit accessory tells a story of comfort and serenity, contributing to the narrative of your farmhouse-inspired abode.
Extend the charm of candlelit comfort beyond your home's interior by creating a farmhouse-inspired garden oasis. Enhance your outdoor space with lanterns, string lights, and strategically placed candles to transform it into a serene retreat. Adorn your patio or garden with rustic furniture, like wooden benches and wrought iron tables, and let candles illuminate these spaces during evening gatherings. The flickering flames will create a magical atmosphere, perfect for unwinding or entertaining guests. Embrace the beauty of nature with this farmhouse outdoor decor, creating a seamless connection between your indoor and outdoor living spaces.
The transition from indoor to outdoor spaces marks the crescendo of your farmhouse decor symphony. At the core of farmhouse aesthetics lies rustic decor, a design philosophy that embraces the beauty of imperfection and the authenticity of natural materials. Wooden beams, reclaimed barn wood, and wrought iron accents form the backbone of rustic decor, adding a layer of history and character to your living spaces.
To incorporate rustic elements effectively, consider a wooden coffee table with a distressed finish, exposed brick walls, or open shelving made from reclaimed wood. The juxtaposition of these elements with modern conveniences creates a harmonious blend, offering both functionality and aesthetic appeal. Rustic decor not only enhances the visual appeal but also tells a story, contributing to the unique narrative of your home.
One of the remarkable aspects of farmhouse decor is its versatility. Whether you're decorating a spacious farmhouse kitchen or a cozy urban apartment, the aesthetic can be adapted to suit any space. In larger areas, consider incorporating statement pieces like a farmhouse dining table or a sliding barn door, instantly transforming the space into a haven of rustic elegance.
The kitchen, in particular, lends itself well to farmhouse decor. The key is to maintain a balance that suits your taste while staying true to the farmhouse aesthetic, ensuring that every room in your home becomes a reflection of your unique style.
A defining feature of farmhouse decor is the seamless integration of natural elements. Embrace the beauty of nature by incorporating potted plants, fresh flowers, and botanical prints into your decor. This not only enhances the visual appeal but also creates a connection to the outdoors, fostering a sense of tranquility within your space.
Consider incorporating large windows that allow natural light to flood in, highlighting the organic textures present in farmhouse decor. Earthy tones, such as muted greens and browns, can be employed to further evoke the feeling of being surrounded by nature. In the very heart of the farmhouse decor philosophy lies a celebration of simplicity and authenticity. As we embark on the journey of illuminating our homes with candles, it is crucial to align this endeavor with the core principles of farmhouse aesthetics. The embrace of imperfections, the warmth of natural materials, and a palette of earthy tones form the backdrop against which the dance of candlelight will unfold.
Farmhouse decor is a narrative of humble elegance, and candles, with their timeless appeal, serve as narrators casting a soft glow on this rustic stage. Whether perched on a weathered mantel or nestled within the recesses of open shelving, candles become integral characters in the farmhouse decor story, enhancing the ambiance with their warm luminosity.
In the symphony of farmhouse decor, candles are the notes that harmonize with the rustic melody. The art of illumination begins with the careful selection of candles that resonate with the farmhouse aesthetic. Distressed pillar candles, mason jar luminaries, and beeswax taper candles become the instruments through which you orchestrate a visual masterpiece.
Mixing and matching candle varieties is akin to composing a symphony. Sturdy pillars resonate with the solidity of farmhouse furniture, while delicate tea lights and votives add nuanced accents. Placing these candles in an array of vintage lanterns, repurposed wooden crates, or eclectic holders creates a visual composition that captivates the eye and captures the farmhouse spirit.
As we delve deeper into the art of candle placement, the concept of strategic positioning emerges as a guiding principle. The focal points of your farmhouse become the canvas on which the dance of candlelight unfolds, creating a tapestry of warmth and visual interest. Whether it's the dining table, fireplace mantel, or open shelving units, each area presents an opportunity to infuse your farmhouse with the magic of illumination.
Consider the dining table, where a carefully curated centerpiece of candles in varying heights and sizes becomes the focal point, setting the stage for intimate gatherings. On the fireplace mantel, larger candles flanked by natural elements create a rustic tableau that draws the eye. Open shelving units, a hallmark of farmhouse decor, can be transformed into an illuminated display with candles nestled in woven baskets or vintage crates.
The essence of farmhouse decor lies in its ability to create a cozy retreat, and candles play a pivotal role in shaping this retreat. In bedrooms, the soft glow of bedside candles induces a serene atmosphere, fostering relaxation and rest. Window sills, often overlooked, become enchanting with a row of votive candles, casting a gentle glow that spills into the room, creating a warm embrace of light and shadow.
Extend the warmth to unexpected spaces, such as bathroom counters, where scented candles in vintage jars infuse your self-care routine with both relaxation and farmhouse charm. The interplay between candlelight and the textures of farmhouse decor creates a sensory experience that elevates your living spaces beyond the visual, resonating with the comforting touch of rural simplicity.
As we immerse ourselves in the enchanting world of candlelit farmhouse decor, it is essential to balance aesthetics with practical considerations. Maintenance and safety become guiding lights, ensuring that the glow remains both beautiful and secure. Regularly trimming wicks, opting for stable holders, and considering flameless LED alternatives in high-traffic areas are measures that contribute to both the longevity of your decor and the safety of your home.
Incorporate candle maintenance into your routine, treating it as a ritual that ensures the continued allure of your farmhouse decor. Replacing candles as needed prevents a worn-out or unkempt look, preserving the integrity of the cozy atmosphere you've cultivated. In this delicate balance between beauty and practicality, the glow of farmhouse decor thrives.

The journey into rustic farmhouse decors begins with a careful selection of earthy color palettes and furniture that echoes the warmth of a countryside dwelling. As you embark on this design adventure, consider incorporating neutral tones, soft whites, and muted greens into your living spaces. These colors not only create a serene ambiance but also serve as the canvas upon which the rustic charm unfolds.
Furniture choices play a pivotal role in defining farmhouse elegance. Opt for pieces with distressed finishes or natural wood textures, resonating with the weathered charm reminiscent of a barn house. To enhance the authenticity of your farmhouse decors, explore the world of reclaimed materials. A focal point such as a reclaimed wood accent wall or a farmhouse-style dining table crafted from old barn doors adds a layer of history and character to your home.
As we immerse ourselves in the farmhouse ambiance, let's not forget the significance of accessories. Vintage signs, mason jar vases, and galvanized metal accents become the finishing touches that transform your living space into a haven of rustic elegance. The artful integration of these elements ensures that your home exudes the timeless charm associated with classic farmhouse style.
Within the broader spectrum of rustic farmhouse decors, the nuances of barn house decors unveil a rugged beauty that pays homage to the architectural marvels of barns. Infusing your interiors with barn house aesthetics begins with a fundamental element – barn doors. These not only serve as functional space savers but also introduce a distinctive farmhouse touch. To elevate the authenticity, consider using salvaged barn wood to craft custom furniture pieces.
The charm of barn house decors finds its zenith in the artful integration of sliding barn door hardware. Beyond their visual appeal, these elements preserve the practicality of the original barn door design, adding a touch of uniqueness to your interiors. The juxtaposition of weathered barn wood and modern hardware establishes a delicate equilibrium between the old and the new, contributing to the timeless allure of your decors.

Venture into repurposing old wooden crates into functional storage solutions or transforming a ladder into a unique bookshelf. Embrace the imperfections and quirks of handmade items, for it is these idiosyncrasies that add character to your home. The personal touch of DIY farmhouse projects becomes the thread that weaves your story into the very fabric of your living spaces, making your home a testament to individuality and creativity.

]]>Step #1) Plan your project ahead of time. Then pick the perfect spot for your new paver patio. You will need to take some measurements and draw out a simple blueprint on paper to follow. This can be done with a measuring tape. Most common sizes are 25ft but they do make tape measures up to 100ft if you want to splurge.
Step #2) Be sure to gather all the required tools you will need for this project ahead of time. This can include but is not limited to: Shovels, picks, tillers, compactors or tamper, yard paint, hammer, level and a broom. Then you will also need your supplies such as: Edge restraints, yard stakes, gravel/ rocks, pavers of your choice and sand.
Step #3) Next, you will want to measure and mark your patio area with paint and yard stakes. If you are doing a circle, hammer the stake in the middle and use the measuring tape to go out to your desired radius. Then walk around in a circle while painting the ground at that distance all the way around. If you are doing a square, you will put stakes in all four corners being sure to measure diagonally from corner to corner to verify your measurements. Then use a string to connect your corners and trace them with paint on the ground as your digging guide.
Step #4) Now when the weather permits, begin! It is time to get your hands dirty and start digging out the inside perimeter of your patio area. You will want to remove all grass and remove about 4-6 inches of soil for your base starting point. Then be sure to use the compactor or tamper to pack it down tight and level. Install a garden bed liner inside and edge restraints all along the perimeter. Then pour in the rocks or gravel as your base layer.
Step #5) Once all your rocks have been evenly distributed within the patio area, be sure they are also level and compacted down. Then you will start laying the pavers down on top in whatever pattern you like. For easy and cut-free jobs we recommend that you choose pavers that will fill the entirety of your patio area. But if you want to create curves or special designs you can. You can trim pavers with goggles on, by using a chisel or putty knife as your guide. Just lightly hammer it all the way around the brick until it breaks on the line you create. Fill the whole patio with pavers and trim them as needed.
Step #6) Now you will need to fill in all the gaps with paver sand, this allows for a tight seal between the bricks and prevents shifting. Fully cover all of them and every crack in between. Then use a broom to sweep the top smooth. Finally remove any excess sand and gently water the patio 2-3 times with about 20-minute breaks in between. AKA a well-deserved BEER break! HAHA then repeat. This helps solidify and seal your sand almost like concrete.
And that’s all there is to it folks! Time to decorate your new patio with furniture, plants and maybe a fire pit. Then invite people over to sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Cheers!!!

Did you know that you can usually get pallets for free in multiple places? Here are a few places I recommend, first your local “Mom & Pop” size hardware or feed shops. They normally have a large pile out in the back and if you ask them for a few, they typically say “yeah go ahead or knock yourself out!” Another place you can go is to Craigslist, in the “free section” you will always find businesses and residential addresses where they are giving away free pallets. Because what you don’t want to do is go to large businesses like Walmart, Ace Hardware, Tractor Supply, Menards or Home Depot and take the ones from the back of their store. They have cameras up and they will report you for stealing private property. So, when in doubt, always ask!
#2) Tools & Safety Equipment needed:
For this project, you will need a few tools and some safety equipment to prevent injury. Here are the tools you will need to get started: A saw of some kind, it does not need to be motorized but it will save you a Ton of Time if you don’t have to manually hack saw these pallets apart. Also, I recommend a hammer and crowbar for prying boards apart and removing nails. You will need a drill with a set of bits, a shovel and also a tape measure. For safety, you should have some gloves to protect from splinters, eye protection to keep the sawdust out of your eyeballs. And perhaps long sleeves if you don’t want sawdust on your arms. Also, you may want to wear a bandana or face mask to keep sawdust out of your nose and mouth.
#3) Break down Pallet:
Once you have all of your materials gathered, it is DEMO time! HAHA this is the fun part where you get to start breaking the pallets down into useable sections. But before you start cutting them, use your tape measure to mark your cuts. You can pick any size you want with these planters. But square or rectangular shapes are the easiest formats. Make sure to measure twice and cut once, then repeat until you have all the sides you will need to complete your square or rectangular planter box.
#4) Build Planter:
Next, take your 4 pre-cut sides and begin placing them together. You may want to use clamps to temporarily hold them together but this is not required or necessary. Use your drill with (wood screws) to attach them to each other in the shape you have selected. If your pallet has wide gaps, use some of the scrap wood leftovers from cutting to fill the gaps. Repeat until you have 4 sides and a base all attached to each other and then your planter box is complete! It is recommended to place dividers inside your box if you plan to plant multiple items in it, but it is not required.
#5) Line interior with Landscaping Fabric:
Hopefully, you read ahead and got some landscaping fabric while you were at the hardware store. You will want to now line the interior of the planter box with this material. This will help keep everything intact and inside your box. You can glue or staple it in place with a staple gun if you want but this is also not necessary.
#6) Fill with Fresh Compost & Soil:
Next, it is time to fill your planter box with soil and compost. You will want to do a mixture of the two. This will all depend upon what you are planting. For plants, it is recommended to use 4 parts soil to 1 part compost. For veggies, it is recommended to use a layering system. This means you will put a layer of soil, followed by a layer of compost and repeat all the way to the top. All trees and shrubs only require 10% compost or a 9 to 1 ratio of soil to compost to grow successfully. So be sure to look up the best ratio for what you plan to plant and mix or layer it accordingly in your box. Then use your shovel to fill it up. You can get pre-made compost at the store or use your own that you make from kitchen scraps. I wrote a blog for our Spring 2022 Edition Catalog on how to start your own Compost, called “Composting 101” you can read it on our website.
#7) Start Planting:
Now it is time to dig in and get your hands dirty if they are not already Haha. Plant your seeds, flowers, veggies or plants inside your new planter box. If you decide to plant multiple items in the same box, be sure that you separate them with appropriate space for growth without the interference of each other. This is only if you did not insert dividers during the build process.
#8) Water in & Let Set:
After you have everything planted and buried in, go grab your water hose or watering pot and soak it in the soil. Be sure to give them all a good soaking to allow everything to properly set in. Just don’t flood your box, you don’t want the water running over the edge like a waterfall. LOL
#9) Label & Paint (Optional):
If you like, you can also label your new seeds with garden stakes. This comes in handy if you built multiple boxes and planted multiple items in each. That way you don’t forget what is where? Note: some items may need a small stick or trellis once they start growing like tomatoes, strawberries, etc. And if you want to paint your planter box, feel free to do so. Me personally, I like the natural raw wood look. It gives a Nice Rustic finish. But painted boxes would also be nice and might help bring a pop of color to your yard, garden or porch.
#10) Water & Weed Maintenance:
After that, all that is left is maintenance. You will want to water your seeds, flowers or plants regularly. It is recommended to do so in the evenings. This prevents them from getting sunburnt if you water them during the day. Water acts like a magnifying glass in the sun and it will literally burn your plants. Also, make sure they are in a location where they get ample sunlight, you don’t want them stuck in the shade all day or they will not grow properly. And be sure to pluck out any weeds as they try to grow in and suffocate your harvest. Pesticide is also optional to keep the bugs from eating your veggies. But there are also natural remedies that don’t involve chemicals and are much healthier for you. If you have a garden and some chickens I recommend you combine the two! Chickens eat the bugs and provide natural fertilizer when they soil the ground.
After Thoughts:
This is an easy project for anyone to do on the weekend. Then you can grow your own veggies or fruit from home if you choose. Or surround yourself with beautiful flowers and plant arrangements. And there is nothing more rewarding than eating what you produce. So, get to work and enjoy the fruits of your labor for many years to come!
#1) You are recycling, and will not be contributing to the worlds 35 MILLION Tons of food waste per year.
#2) You save money by not having to buy fertilizer or ready-made soil at the store. Plus, the gas money and time, it takes to drive all the way into town and back depending upon how far out in the country you live.
#3) You will be able to grow all the yummy veggies in your garden you want with this fresh made compost full of nutrients. A compost will yield more nutrients than the store-bought comparison.
Ok, now let’s talk about how to set up a compost. First you will need to select a location you want to have it. Not too close to the house in case it smells but not too far away so that it doesn’t seem like a total chore to go take a load out. When you have the perfect location picked out, it is time to build a bin. This is not required to have a compost bin but it is preferred. Having some sort of barricade helps contain your compost and lets you pile vertically rather than having your pile spread horizontally all across the yard. You can use most anything to build a bin, old scrap wood, pallets, even tin sections.
If you choose pallets, 9 times out of 10 you can get them for Free at several places. Any time I need some, I just go down to the local feed store and ask them if I can have a few out back. They always say yes because they have so many piling up! So, I will load up the bed of the truck with as many as I feel like grabbing that day. I use pallets for a lot of my DIY projects around the house.
And the best part is, you don’t even need any tools to build your bin. If you don’t have a drill and screwdriver, you can simply use bailing wire to tie the pallets to each other in the form of a square. The fourth side is optional but not required.
Once you have one pallet per side you are all set. Then you will have a bin ready to take on all the scraps you can throw at it. If you want to line the interior with chicken mesh wire as an additional layer to keep everything inside the bin, you can but it is not required.
Now let’s talk about what all goes in a compost and what doesn’t. First, you are going to want to save or source “Greens” such as kitchen veggie scraps. Garden weeds that haven’t flowered, fresh cut grass, coffee grounds, egg shells and manure from your farm animals. This includes horses, cows, rabbits, goats & pig droppings.
2nd you will need “Browns” these are items such as leaves, shredded paper, cardboard & sawdust. If you don’t have any trees in your yard, you can always take a few trash bags and a rake down to the park on the weekend and fill as many as you want to for free. And most of time if you ask Home Depot, Lowes or your local Hardware store, they will give you sawdust from their saws in the back for free. Having a compost is all about being resourceful and using what you can and where you can find it. And like I said, the majority of the time all you have to do is ask.
Also, here are a few things to avoid putting in your compost: dairy, meat or any fatty products along with dog or cat waste. And it is not required but will speed things up in the decomposing process if you toss your compost with a pitch fork or rake once every few weeks. A typical compost takes between 6-12 months to decompose into useable nutrient rich garden soil. And the more you toss it, the faster it will be ready to use. Be sure to do about a 50/50 split. Add some greens, add some browns, toss together and repeat.
Having your very own compost is a wonderful way to grow vibrant veggies on your property with just the items you already have at your fingertips or can easily acquire. There is always a sense of pride that comes with building your own garden and growing your own food. That all starts with the land and what you use to enrich it.
So, go get your hands in the dirt and start your very own compost today!
2) Ornaments- This one is So Simple to make it will take no time! All you need is an old wire coat hanger and a bunch of ornament balls. First bend the wire open and into a complete circle. If your ornaments come with strings attached you will want to cut and remove them. And if the lids are loose, you can glue them on with a hot glue gun.
Ok, once you have your hanger made into a full circle, open it at the top & start threading the ornaments on it. Be sure to rotate your colors and shapes if using a variety of different ornaments. Feed your ornaments towards your hanger hook end and this will keep them from sliding off. The hook can be used to hang the wreath when complete. You will need to rotate the angles of the ornaments as you feed them on the hanger in a circular fashion.
You want them to go all the way around and fully cover up the wire hanger. Feeding them one by one until you have gone all the way around and all the way up the circle wire back to the hook. Then tie it together with some wire or bend the tail end of the hanger around the hook and your all set. You will have a Bountiful Wreath full of Bright Beautiful Ornaments and you will be ready to decorate it with ribbons, beads, lights and more. See below for a full list of items to decorate your finished wreath. And here is a link to a YouTube video with all the steps in action. 👉 https://bit.ly/3iyPSgZ
3) Broken Twigs- You can collect your supply in your back yard or on your next nature walk. Once you have a good number of sticks on hand. Decide on your desired shape. You can do a circle, a star, heart and more. The first step is to break your sticks into smaller twigs about 3-6” long. Then start laying them all out into your chosen pattern. You can use a hot glue gun to attach the twigs to one another one in the desired position.
If you don’t have one you can also use paddle wire. If you go this route, we recommend bundling a few twigs together and then attaching them intertwined or layered together with more wire. You can make your shape as bare or full as you wish. Plugging in twigs into the holes like a puzzle piece until you feel it is complete.
This is a quick & easy project! That won’t cost you anything. To provide you with a visual aide example here is a YouTube video making both Star & Circles wreaths out of twigs. She painted her’s white at the end and it turned out really Pretty & Rustic! Check it out here. 👉 https://bit.ly/2Yi42vF
4) Fresh Greenery- For this type of wreath you can use anything from trimmings from your Christmas tree, to pine needles from your back yard. You can choose two paths with this type of wreath; you can stick to one solid background material such as spruce. Or mix it up with bundles of your favorite natural elements combined. Either way, you will gather a handful of your material and fix it to your wreath using paddle wire.
We recommend a narrow 18” 2 level frame for this project. And 22-gauge paddle wire is strong and yet flexible giving you a sturdy hold. Start in the middle of your frame with a center bundle and wrap it tightly 2 or 3 times with the wire. Then place your next layer on top of the first at a slight rotation about 45 degrees inwards towards center of frame circle being sure to cover the wire of the first bundle. Next you will place your third bundle in the opposite direction about 45 degrees facing outwards from the center of the wreath circle.
And you will continue this process all the way around your wreath, being sure to layer each bundle on top of the previous one and always covering the wire. If you need a visual aid example, we have included a link to a YouTube video that goes through a full tutorial with a variety of natural materials including pine, spruce, magnolia, dried orange slice, pine cones and cinnamon stick bundles. You can view it here. 👉 https://bit.ly/3uJ0Q88
5) Grapevine- Wooden bases might be more your style. It definitely gives it a more Rustic Finish. You can either buy a pre-made grapevine base ring or build your own. There are a lot of videos on how to do this on YouTube so I won’t bore you with those details. But the best part about this type of wreath is that you already have the background done, now all you have to do is decorate it all pretty. This is where you put on your creative hat and get out the ribbon, beads, glue gun, all your trinkets and go to town! You can keep it simple with only putting one Big Bow on it or a Sign perhaps with your Family Name. Or you can go all the way around and fill it up, the choice is 100% yours. Here is an example to get your thought wheels turning…
Now that you have your background of your wreath complete using one of these fun DIY methods. Don’t forget to decorate it with some finishing accents.
One of the best places to start with changing your home space is with the decor. And no better makeover than ranch home décor.
With winter arriving, now is the time to update your home. In many locations, winter nights get darker and colder, so you will likely be spending more time inside. And when a season ends, it also marks the end of a cycle; so out with the old, in with the new.
Mismatched decor styles can create clutter and stress in your home. Instead, focus on a specific decor style, such as ranch-style decor. Read on for all you need to know about ranch décor and seven ideas for winter renovations.
Ranch-style homes are continuing to grow in popularity, now being one of the most popular home styles. Ranch homes have been around for many years, so the style is timeless. But what can you do if you do not have a ranch-style home?
The good news is it is easy to incorporate ranch-style decor into your home, regardless of whether you own a ranch or you have a different home exterior. You can create whatever interior you want in your home with the right accessories.
Ranch home décor can vary in characteristics and style. However, there are some common features. Décor usually celebrates different materials, with weathered finishes and a vintage touch. The goal of a ranch-style home is to be comfortable, charming, and calming.
The excellent news about ranch-style décor is that there are various styles. For example, you can pick a rustic ranch décor style. This is usually focused on traditional farmhouse elements, such as warmth, natural materials, and metal accents.
However, you could also focus on ranch house western décor or more of a modern touch. Or you can mix styles to create your own ranch-style home. There is something for everyone when it comes to ranch home décor.
If you are unsure what ranch-style home you would like, check out these seven décor ideas to get started, as they will help inspire your renovations.
Metal does not only look great, but it also offers durable and affordable décor options for the home. It adds texture and dimension to your space. Plus, it is often recyclable, making it a sustainable choice for your home.
Metal is a popular feature of ranch house décor, as it looks rustic, natural, and helps mix materials. It also breaks up neutral tones, which many ranch-style homes use. Iron, copper, and brass all fit in well with ranch interior design.
So, how do you incorporate metal into your home style? A good place to start is the kitchen. Pick metal utensils and other kitchen accessories, such as this metal cupcake stand.

A lot of ranch décor celebrates the Earth and ranching's roots. Picture expansive natural spaces and farming. And it helps you connect with nature, even if you live in a big city.
So, what is better than incorporating this into your ranch-style home? Ranch décor includes different earthy elements to bring the natural world inside your home.
Pick natural materials, such as stone and wood pieces. Also, pick pieces that honor the farming roots of ranch-style homes. A perfect example is this large piggy bowl, which has a natural look.
For rustic home décor, focus on warm colors. You will be able to embrace the coziness of hygge and all that it encompasses. Choose pieces that bring a sense of comfort and familiarity.
A great place to start is your lighting. Not everyone can install a fireplace, but an easy and effective way is to use warmers in different spaces of your home.

Consider candles that have Earth fragrances, such as pine. You can also pick different shape candles and use mason jar candles to add to the rustic ranch style. Check out these candles for inspiration.

Especially for people who are in urban environments, farm life can feel like a distant dream. You might not be able to access the outdoors easily. But you can achieve the perfect balance of city life and nature by bringing the outdoors in.
Be sure to add lots of plants and flowers inside your home. Try to pick seasonal options for winter so they last through the darker and colder days. You can also use fake flowers for added sunshine, no matter what the season.
Use mason jars for vases. Or consider statement plant and flower holders that perfectly encapsulate rustic ranch decor. If flowers and plants are not for you, pick floral patterns to bring the outdoors in.
If you do have an outdoor space, you can embrace ranch life with different exterior accessories. It is also nice to keep consistent with your style, so if you want ranch-style decor indoors, start with the outdoors. You will set the tone for the rest of your home.

Eucalyptus is beneficial to have in the home because it'll grow well inside your home and has a lovely smell. You can also use the plant to breathe easier and relax. Take a branch of this plant and hang it in the shower to allow the steam to release the oils and clear your nasal congestion or inflammation.
Every entryway or living room needs to have coat hooks. Even if you don't wear coats often, you can use these hooks to hang various other items such as jackets, book bags, purses, and more! Rather than having these items thrown on the sofa, give the family a place to put them by installing rustic coat hooks.
These hooks are a good way to add that farmhouse flair you're looking for. Even if you don't hang them directly in the living room, they'll act as an introduction to the farmhouse-style living room before you or your guest enter the living room.
If you love the farmhouse look, then you most likely have wooden furniture. If not, then we'll get to that shortly. Wooden furniture is beautiful and timeless but should be taken care of.
One way to maintain your beautiful wood furniture is to use coasters. Rather than placing your drinks directly onto the wooden surface, which absorbs moisture, use a stunning farmhouse coaster. You can find these coasters in a variety of designs to best fit your style.
They'll match well with your living room décor and keep your furniture safe.
Wooden furniture is a must in any farmhouse design. Rustic wood furniture pieces are even used in modern farmhouse designs. To get the design just right, try to use rustic furniture pieces modestly.
Add a bit of rustic charm here and there to keep it modern yet still very much farmhouse. For example, you can include a rustic wood coffee table or two rustic wood side tables. You can also consider adding rustic accent cabinets or wooden frames around mirrors.
Time is very important on a farm. There's a lot to be done on a daily basis and knowing what time it is will help keep farmers on schedule. If you want to truly dive into the farmhouse style, then you need a farmhouse clock in your living room.

The cool breeze from the outside kisses your cheeks while you breathe in the wonderful scents of the candle sitting next to you.
Depending on the time of the year, you can switch out your candle scent for something that's seasonal and fills your soul. A candle jar cage is the perfect décor piece to have
Having a tray in the living rooms is beneficial for a few reasons. For starters, you can use the tray to hold some of your important items such as glasses, the remote control, or other items. If you want to use the tray for décor purposes only, then consider placing a few books inside of it and a small plant in a rustic can.
A USA flag tray is a great way to incorporate the farmhouse style into the mix. You can use it during the holidays or use it year-round to always show off your American pride.
Every living room needs to have shelves for holding different knick-knacks and other items. A crate wall shelf is a good way to provide shelving without taking away from the farmhouse feel. This type of shelf is an actual crate that's been turned into a shelf.
One of the most wonderful things about the farmhouse design is taking old things and transforming them into something new. The crate wall shelf you choose should be made of real wood or wood and metal to ensure a sturdy piece.
Do you still enjoy reading the paper every morning? Do you like to collect newspapers to use for various tasks around the house? A newspaper perforated container is a wonderful way to hold all of your newspapers together in your living room.
Not someone who reads the paper? Don't worry! You can use the newspaper container for other things as well, such as magazines or holding a variety of items like your knitting materials and more!
One essential part of the farmhouse design is using painted furniture. Use neutral colors on the walls to make the farmhouse living room appear larger than it really is. However, when painting the furniture, have a bit more fun with it.
Consider different shades of white, blue, or purples to act as accent pieces in your living room décor. For example, you might want to paint a coffee table, a side table, or even an armoire.
When choosing the color of paint for the walls in your farmhouse living room, do stick with neutrals. To achieve the farmhouse look, you should avoid using any bright or dark colors on the walls. Then, make sure the rest of the home is painted in similar colors.
You don't have to stick with whites either. You can play around with different shades of beige, light grey tones, and creams as well.
What is a chicken boot scraper? If you've ever lived on a farm, then you know just how dirty the bottom of your shoes can get. A boot scraper made of cast iron metal creates the perfect place for you to scrape off the bottom of your boots.
You can set one of these directly at the front or back door, or use it in the living room for a unique décor piece!

]]>Being from Texas, from the very beginning when I came up with the Name of this Business "Rustic Territory" I knew that I wanted to make it into an actual brand. And by Brand I mean.. Cattle Brand. After all, what is more Country then Cattle Brands? So when I designed the logo itself I made sure to incorporate that idea. I drew out several different designs on paper until I chose the perfect one. And at that point I thought it would end there...
But about 6 months into running this Company, I got the urge to go further and have an actual real life Cattle Brand made from the design of our logo. Yet, I had no idea what actual purpose it would play. So I put it off...
My mother has made Candles her entire adult life, I always loved and appreciated her artwork because that was exactly what it was. She had a keen knack for making these adorable cupcake shaped candles, popsicle's and lollipops that were coated with cotton candy colored icing and sprinkles. They were just too cute, I was constantly trying to tell her to set up a booth in one of the local antique shops because they would definitely sell. But she never would, so I kept pondering on the idea. Eventually I decided I wanted us to make a candle together for Rustic Territory. And If you were a following fan of our Business in November of 2019 you might remember our first go..
Round 1 consisted of a Glass Mason Jar (Country of Course) and a 2 layered colored candle that was Candy Apple Scented. The coloring did not turn out like it was supposed to so the bottom layer that was intended to be dark red like a Candied Apple ended up being a pinkish color. Then the top layer was a Caramel Color and that part turned out as it was supposed to. However we had the layers 50/50 and I wanted it to be more 2/3rd Red at base and 1/3rd Caramel at top just like a real Candied Apple. None the less, I had the sticker labels made for the front and the lid. And I launched them on Black Friday week of 2019. They were called "Mom's Candles". But to say the least... it was a total flop!! We could Not Sell ANY and I was very disappointed. So I let the idea rest for awhile to come up with a better plan & design.
See, it turns out I was over complicating it as we all do with most things. After a few survey's I posted on Facebook I found that the majority of you want a simple candle. A solid white candle instead of colored and especially instead of a dual colored candle. Your feedback reminded me that we all have different home decor and color schemes in our homes. So a solid white candle can be universally placed in any room without interfering with your current decor. How could I forget this one simple thing...? After all, my own mother is Queen at having Apples and Red in the kitchen, Beach and Turquoise in the Bathroom, Dolls and Baby Blue in the Living Room and so on. It is the obvious things that escape us all.
So I went back to the drawing board. I knew that I wanted the candles to be in a Mason Jar because I wanted them to stick to our Rustic Country Style. But there were so many sizes and lid types to choose from. I bought jar after jar and lid after lid before I decided to shy away from Mason Jars... They were Country yes, but they also didn't speak high quality class like I wanted them to. So I kept searching...
A few months later, I finally found a Gorgeous Libby Glass that was Simple and yet Elegant. It would give me the Fine Quality I was looking for but it needed some Rustic Touches. So I went to a local wholesale Candle Supply Company here in Fort Worth, Texas (Lonestar Candle Supply) and began my Easter Egg Hunt. Because that is exactly what it felt like, except I had no idea what I was even looking for lol. That is, until I found a wood lid that perfectly fit my Libby Glass. I was thrilled and spent the rest of the afternoon in that display room sniffing scent after scent and asking questions. They also had wood wicks so I got some of those knowing it would also fit the rustic look I was going for. Plus I like how they crackle when they burn, that is an added bonus.
Now getting supplies is half the battle, the rest is putting all of your puzzle pieces together. But first you need the vision of your finished product. I was still trying to figure that part out. So the supplies I bought sat at my mothers in a box for a few more months.
One day it hit me, "why not get my Rustic Territory logo made into a cattle brand that I can use to actually burn into the wood lid?" So now I had a plan for my Cattle Brand after all, it had finally found it's purpose. I immediately found a Company here in Texas (Pittsburg Foundry) who specialized in Cattle Brands and placed my order. I was really getting excited now!!! (:
Once the Cattle Brand arrived I went and bought a torch on my way to mother's house. I couldn't wait! That afternoon, one by one I heated the brand and burned it into the center of each wooden lid. I was thrilled to see how well they turned out, it was even better then I had anticipated. Then we began our mixture... This is where everything got really complicated.
My mother already had her way of doing things so I watched as she showed me all the steps involved. You got to place your soy wax shavings into a pot and mix in your color dye along with scent that is all measured exact. It is important to get all of your measurements exactly precise or you could run into problems. Mixing dye and scent has to be done at an exact temperature, pouring has to be done at an exact temperature and even where you place the candle to cool is vitally important. Trust me there is more to it then you might think. But with some trial and error on other jars we got it all down to a documented science.
Finally, we poured our first leather scented white candle into a libby jar. I had already cut and preset the wood wicks prior in the shape of a "T" centered inside the glass. With the name of Rustic Territory I like to say we are Rustic to a "T" lol. It's a little corney I know, but I thought you would appreciate the details.
Once the wax mixture was poured it became a waiting game to see how it would set. Sometimes you will get air pockets, cracking or sweating or all three. Most of which can be avoided but I found when using soy the sweating is pretty normal due to the wax releasing excess oils during temperature changes. This was easily resolved by dabbing a paper towel inside around the wick and placing in a cool area of the house.
I used this time to get the finishing touches ready. I placed the metal inside section of a mason jar lid on the bottom of the wood lid. This was intended for you to be able to put out your flame with out worry of burning your wood lid. Then I did a clear honey coat stain on the lid to give it a more finished look.
Then I decided that I wanted to offer you something more instead of just a candle. So I rummaged through all of my mothers tart molds and found one with Stars. This was perfect because Rustic Stars are very popular in the Country. My dad has them all throughout his home. So we poured some Scented Star Tarts too. I let my mother do all the mixing and pouring. I was pretty much just the one with the design idea helping her put all the pieces together lol.
Once all the wax cooled, we bagged up the star shaped tarts and complimented them with a hemp rope bow tie. This also helped give it the Rustic look I was going for. So after nearly a year and a half, we finally had a finished product that I knew you would like. I was very excited and couldn't wait to show it off!!!
Finally, I ordered the labels and designed the custom box and launched it! And I couldn't be more Excited & Happy to say that this Rustic Candle Box is selling like Hot Cakes!!! Which proves with dedication and a lot of creativity you can do anything you put your heart into. And my mother and I have hand poured our heart into each one of them just for you.
So with love, I sincerely thank you,

Turn your Backyard Barn into a Party Hall
It cannot get more farmhouse than this. Uplift your barn into a place where you can host social events, parties, a thanksgiving dinner, or just a quite get together. Be careful so as to not compromise on the original composition of your barn, as that is where the farmhouse element lies. If you don’t have a barn, you can always construct a smaller version of one in your backyard. Sheds, Pergola's and Gazebo's all work great too!! Remember, decorating is Half the Fun. Then you can Enjoy!
Blue & White Decorations
Simply put, it does not get more rural than this. Make a room in your house have completely blue and white decor, for the best Farmhouse feels. The perfect room where you can achieve this look is your dining area. For the most niche look in your room, use a lot of blue and white décor. If you are converting your dining area, for example, try to have a clear shelf with multiple blue and white dishes, such as Porcelain, China, and lots of linen.
To achieve the best farmhouse look for your urban home, it is always best to remember to keep it simple, woody, and crafty. Now get to work!! 😊

]]>The very first step is to measure the height of your window frames. Once you have this in mind you can begin gathering materials and the tools needed to construct them all. Keeping our recommended materials in mind, for one window you will need (4) pickets and (4) 13" sections of pallet wood. (1 or 2 pallets should be plenty enough material to gather these.) For the fence pickets, we chose the 6 inch wide option but you can mix it up how ever you choose. If you have smaller windows they make pickets in more narrow options that may better suit your needs. So depending upon how many windows you are planning to make shutters for, you do the math and calculate your required total quantities needed. Example: if 1 window needs 4 pickets and 4 sections of pallet wood, for two windows double it.
Now here is the important part: (The Tool List)
-1 Tape Measure, 1 square, 1 carpenters pencil, 1 drill gun w/ a 1 small drill bit and 1 phillips head bit, 1 circular skill or table saw, 1 box of 1" screws, 1 box of 2" screws.
(Optional Extras) Jig Saw, Level, Crow Bar, ladder, Sander, Stain, Paint, Brush
Okay, now that we got all the required materials and tools.. lets get started! Using your original measurement of the height of your window frames, mark your pickets the appropriate length. Then use your square to draw a straight line all the way across the board. Do this to each picket, then get out your saw and begin trimming the excess off. Be sure to use proper safety gear like glasses and ear protection. Oh and watch them Fingers!!! Once you have all the pickets trimmed to the appropriate height, attack the pallets! No not seriously...but if you want to take out some anger, grab a crow bar and begin prying the slates off the pallet. This can be a hassle, so we prefer the easy way which involves a Jig Saw or Circular Saw. Simply cut out the middle of the pallet by following the inner edge of the interior board or frame. This will leave you with clean nail free boards, ready to be trimmed. Again, use your tape measure and mark the boards to 13" sections (6" picket on one side, 1" gap in middle & another 6" picket on other side.) If you did not go with 6" wide pickets you will need to adjust your pallet board length accordingly. Then use the square and draw straight lines for your saw to cut.
Assembly time, lay your fresh cut materials on a flat level surface like your garage floor, porch, deck or driveway. Now use your measuring tape and square again to mark 1 foot lines from both ends of the picket boards. We chose 1 foot due to our windows being 5 feet tall. You may need to adjust your number as well depending on your height. Just try to remember to leave an even amount of space in the middle. This line is used to mark where to install the pallet pieces you just cut.
Make sure your boards are all straight and aligned, with a 1 inch gap in-between each picket. Then use the drill bit to drill one pilot hole in each side of the pallet wood. Then swap bits and use your phillips head to install a 1" screw on both sides, this will secure your pallet wood to your two pickets. Now do the same thing to the bottom, and Congratulations... You just completed your Very First Window Shutter!!!
Now just repeat this process for how ever many more you need, then use your 2" screws to install them butted up next to your window frames. These should be level with the ground, but feel free to use a level to double check your handy work. Also, if you want to go the extra mile you can sand, stain or paint them to really add some Pop to your Homes Curb Appeal.

]]>A bench is a vital piece to any great mud room, especially on inclement weather days. Your going to be rushed to get inside out of the harsh climate, so once your inside your cozy entry way, simply use the bench to take your seat while removing those muddy boots. They also make these rubber floor mats that have lifted edges designed for muddy or snow filled boots. These handy mats prevent any spillage on the inside floor, making for easy maintenance. Once the boots have dried, you can remove them and go spray off the mat with the water hose, leaving the mess outside. These are also a great alternative to putting your shoes in drawers, which later requires cleaning and scrubbing.
The key to any great Mud Room is clutter free organization. By implementing all of the listed features above, you can have both function and also add some "fashion". Why should your entry way be boring and dated when it can be stylish and welcoming. Ship-Lap is a very popular material making a huge come back in American home decorating. It is a very durable wood, that can give your entry way a hard core back bone and face lift all in one. These days, the more dents and dings.. the more character an item has. Ship-lap can handle all of these and still shine with a fresh coat of paint. You can go light and bright with white, or add some dark tones to make things pop. The choice is yours. Here are a few examples of finished products. Now get busy and add your own special touches while creating a stunning but still very useful Mud Room.

The last step is to either change your whole front door, maybe it has glass and you want a more Craftsman style door. These are fairly simple changes to make. You will need to use a measuring tape to get your current door dimensions prior to going to pick out your new door. This makes for a seamless transaction with little or no trim needed. Don't forget to bring a friend or the "hubby" for all the heavy lifting.
While changing the whole door can be an easy way to get "the look" you want, it may not always be in the budget. Door's can range from $200, easily up to $5000. This is not even including the hardware, or additional items you may be seeking. Sidelites are the smaller window openings to the left and right of your door that can give you a larger amount of natural light. This along with the option of adding a double door can quickly add to the price tag. Because if you do not currently have an opening large enough, you will have to hire a contractor to cut a new hole and install it all.
If you do not have that kind of funds, no sweat. There is another alternative that can give you the homey feeling your seeking without the large dent in the wallet. Simply paint your existing door the color of your choice. This will instantly give your home that nice curb appeal you are trying to achieve. It only requires a very small bucket of paint, a brush, and some painters tape or screw-driver. Your can either remove the hardware and paint the door, then reinstall it. This takes some muscle, or you can use painters tape to mark off the hardware so your paint does not drip on it. Either way, the finished product will be Eye Catching!!! Now use a combination of these tips and get busy decorating your home today.

I know, I know... your thinking but it's such a hassle, I don't have time or I always forget because of my busy life. Yes life is busy, with work, school, minons and then you come home to house chores. I admit nobody wants to do laundry, dishes, mow the yard or work on the fence when you could be doing something more exciting.
We all want to go out and "play," well the good news is you can! They make these things called sprinklers... LOL. All you have to do is hook them to the end of your water hose, get off the couch and go turn on the water for 10-15 minutes. Who knows, that may give you the time you've been looking for to just sit and watch the sun set for once. Sometimes we all need to have that slow down moment to capture our thoughts and give us a breathe of fresh air. Something about a Gorgeous Sunset always lets us know, it's all going to be alright.
Maybe your the type who says whats the big deal, I can always buy more. Well that is true, but quite honestly it is not only an economic waste of funds but also a waste of your time. We all know that time is the most valuable resource. Once it's gone, you simply can't get it back. Sort of like your plants! Your then left in a cycle of Buy.. Let Die.. Buy again. Each time this includes digging up the old roots, seeding or bedding the new plants. Then adding fertilizers, in-riched soils and probably mulch or pine needle (popular in the South). Oh yeah and WATER!! All of these are added expenses each go round of course. Not to mention the labor that goes into replanting them all. If you have a whole garden, your really going to be hurting the next day. All of which could of been easily avoided by simply adding water on a frequent basis.
If all else fails and you decide you simply can't water your flowers, or invest in timed sprinklers.. but you love the Beauty they bring... Get FAKE flowers!! 😁 P.S. soaker hoses work wonders. And if you purchase perennials instead on just annuals, which are flowers that once rooted correctly will come back year after year. They may not be as cheap in the beginning but they more than make up for that in the end.
The moral behind the story is we all need water.. humans, pets and plants. Make your watering less of a chore and your plants something you enjoy more. Make it part of a routine, turn on that hose and take in those Sun rays. Pretty soon you will have plenty of beautiful blossoms to show your hard work.

]]>Our meaning behind this is simple & straight forward. In case you don't know anything about Tumbleweed's... They can only grow in harsh climates such as the Desert. They need very little water to blossom & grow. Once fall rolls around, like most plants... They shrivel up and die. But that's when their journey really begins, after their root fully dies it is easily broken off by the wind. Then the Tumbleweed is Free to Toss & Roll across the Desert. This is where the Tumbleweed gets it's name, because it is simply a weed that tumbles. That is where the magic happens, unlike most stationary plants who use the help of birds to pollinate and spread their seeds. The Tumbleweed spreads it's own, with each bounce the Tumbleweed disperses several seeds across the Desert ground. Leaving them to await just a few small drops of water and restart their own cycle.
So when we say to Decorate like the Rolling Seeds of a Tumbleweed.. We are reminding you that each piece of Rustic Home Decor you add to your Country home, you are also sprinkling your seeds. Your very own unique style is being Beautifully spread all across your home. And although you may not blow with the wind, a small gust of motivation goes a very long way! So keep up the good work & spread those Rustic Seeds!!!
